My Thoughts on the Famous Tieks!

When I first saw these shoes I thought they were so comfortable and nice, I knew I wanted a pair! Then, I saw the price and thought "Do I really need these?" The answer was yes! Here's why. Ok first off, I just want to say that these flats, (the classic fair trade leather Tieks), are $175! And that's not even the most expensive pair! The patent, vegan, and classic flats all range from different prices. But I bought myself the classics, so that's what I'll be writing about in this post. The first time I wore these shoes (other than a walk around the house to try them out), was for a school bake sale fundraiser which lasted a total of 5 hours (still exhausted)! Between set up, selling, cleaning, take down, I was always running around. Usually I wear my athletic shoes to these type of events, but I thought I would put these Tieks to the test! It felt like pushing my foot onto a soft, light cushion. After the fundraiser I was still raving about them and didn't want to take them off. I ended up purchasing the "Camel" color, but so super close to buying the taupe or "ballerina pink" color! I figured all the shoes I owned were practically the same color so I stepped out of the comfort zone and went for a bolder, brighter color(bold for me at least)! However, they do pair very well with jeans, (which encourages me to wear jeans more often), ;) but they also go quite well with leggings. I thought this through for a while, because they're so dang expensive! lol The only possible downside to this color would be that it isn't very fit for formal events, not that that is exactly a problem for me, but maybe others. If you wanted some dress-up, dress-down type of flats, I'd recommend colors like, silver, pink, black, maybe you could even make gold casual! To get to the point, are these ballet flats worth their high price tag? My answer is yes. This ain't a sponsored post whatsoever, so it is my true opinion, wasn't paid to give Tieks a shoutout;). They're so versatile, stylish, light, COMFORTABLE, and I almost forgot to mention foldable! Oh my gosh, you can easily pack these anywhere you go! Stick 'em in your luggage or backpack and your ready to go! I still think the price if high but I do think it's worth it if you're looking for AMAZING ballet flats! Or if you're tired of purchasing ones that keep causing foot pain or breaking, then it may be worth it to buy one expensive pair to use for a while rather than constantly buying new ones. Maybe I'll do a blog post next year and update you on how well the Tieks have held up and if the quality has stayed in tact!! Please feel free to contact me or comment if you have anymore questions on Tieks! By the way, Tieks, if you're reading this, you've got me hooked! Click the images below to shop! Bye for now!
XOXO,
Kate
