These days it's just go,go,go,go,GO! But I encourage you, along with myself, to take a step back and slow down. Relax. Treat yourself. Have fun. Easier said then done, my friend! We always have something to do whether it's fold the laundry, wash the laundry, tackle the clutter, clean the dishes, make something healthy (or actually eat something healthy), get your daily dose of exercise, get work done (Or school work if you're a student!), everything! Often, we feel lost in the sea of battling against the battles. This is when the "I can't do this anymore", or "This is impossible," thoughts come across our minds. But ya know what? You are so much stronger than you think! And you can handle so much more than you think. You also need to remember that you're just human, and this little life of ours is meant to be spent with joy and laughter and compassion and adventure and strength and love and fun. So take some time each day to just treat yourself. Whether it's watching a couple YouTube videos, or an episode on TV, or a nice bath, or a good 'ole book! Don't feel guilty completely treating yourself to a manicure or shopping or something else you love too! This is all just BALANCE. You need to work hard, stay determined and strong, get your work done, achieve your goals and the success and afterward, relaxation will feel like nothing else on Earth. And don't work yourself off of polar opposites! For example, don't overwork yourself with so much work that you're literally drowning and the next week just eating all the ice cream, brownies, and hot Cheetos on the couch with absolutely nothing productive on your plate! (We've all been there and ya know what? It's fine....just don't do it all the time) There are 24 hours in a day, you spend about 7-8 hours (yes please get your sleeping game ON! lol), that means you have 15-16 hours left. In those hours you can accomplish so much! And yes relaxing and treating yourself is an accomplishment! I like to work my way around cleaning, (hopefully organizing and decluttering), working (hopefully on this website lol), and just doing some things that I realize have to be done. I aim to set aside 2-2 1/2 hours aside for relaxation/fun time! I always have to remind myself to just play because life is FUN. Yes, it is important to get your work done and have an organized home but it's also important to laugh and play and have fun. Because at the end of the day I want to know that I lived my life to its fullest. And to me living life to the fullest is living in the present, having a taste for adventure, laughing (a lot), making others smile, doing things that make me scared, serving others, achieving my goals and dreams. Yes, I would like to look back on a clean, clutter-free home. But I don't want to be so absorbed in what needs to be done and what isn't perfect. I just want to let go and feel like everything is going to be ok. Because it will if I keep believing it! We are all trying to get through all of this with as much grace and as many smiles as we can muster. So the next time you see someone walking down the street who looks like they've got everything together, just know that they have problems too, and when you see someone who is struggling and drowning, help them out. And helping them could be as simple as just saying, "I've been there too." Because when we face a challenge we feel like it's the end of the world and nothing is more difficult. Then, when we face a new task we think, "Man that was easy compared to this!" So just know that the tough times will never last! Failure is not fatal! Don't let the criticism get to your heart! In an attempt to wrap this up, I just wanted to make this post to say if you're struggling, or have been, just know that you truly are tough enough, strong enough, smart enough, and energetic enough to tackle it all. Storms pass, they don't stay for long! And always believe in the impossible.

The second and the last quote is from @lissletters on Instagram or liss.com.au and let me tell ya, she is just the loveliest! I follow her on Instagram and you guys would love her! She has the most satisfying videos to watch with the absolute prettiest handwriting and the best quotes! Also, you have to check out her calligraphy workbooks! They're so amazing! Alright that's it for today, thanks for sticking around 'til the end!

XOXO,

Kate
